Protecting
The
Deer Yard

How you can protect the Deer Yard

We are committed to protecting the Deer Yard ecosystem and preserving the full diversity of habitats and their species. By taking these steps, you can help us protect the beautiful wilderness of  this area so it can be enjoyed by all visitors.

Leave No Trace

Take only pictures, leave only footprints, and bring home only memories.
Removing bark makes trees vulnerable to disease, insects and an early death.  Do not cut, remove or harm plants or trees.
Graffiti is not permitted anywhere. It is not part of the natural landscape and can also be confusing for hikers who are following trail markers.
Leave no trace do not litter and pick up after your leashed dogs.
Do not litter or leave behind any signs of human interference. Become a steward of the Deer Yard. Remove and pack out any garbage you come across along the way.
